Description:International Non-profit Association (GBN, Glocal Business Network) seeks Drupal programmer/webmaster

About the job
• website development with Drupal (see http://mygbn.org/ ) and the job of a webmaster.
• The core site is built using drupal 6. All of the modules are official drupal modules from drupal.org, none of them are custom developement (yet). The organic groups module has a very important role in the structure of the site (registration, organising members etc.) so keep that in mind that the new features may have to work together with it. At present we have a half-done site. Your job is to finalize our site and create some new functions (for further information see 'GBN's functions' below).
• as we are non-profit, this project is not just about the money. Only committed and motivated people are welcome, with a long-term orientation (similar to our attitude).
• planned official start: it depends on our negotiation (we would like to launch our system in next January).

About us
Our Mission: to create a prominent international platform for business and economics orientated student associations at the world’s prominent universities. We truly believe that GBN will act as a focal point of today’s most talented university students, who will shape the future of many aspects of our world.
• present members include student associations from MIT, Berkeley, Wharton, Stanford, BME
• overall number of members: 2000+, dinamically growing

Reasons for participation
• Challenging job
• Great contacts & International job opportunities
• We fully support creativity and innovativity
• Opportunity to shape the world and you can become an active participant of a unique initiative
If you like our proposal, contact us at chairman@gbnonline.org.

GBN’s functions
The core site is built using Drupal 6. All of the modules are official drupal modules from drupal.org, none of them are custom developement (yet). The organic groups module has a very important role in the structure of the site (registration, organising members, etc.) so keep that in mind that the new features may have to work together with it. Furthermore, you should use our Drupal theme as well.

1. Blog
a. The site should have the possibility to feature other blogposts via rss updates.
2. Professional search
a. Users should be able to search other users profiles based on various criteria.
3. Start-up section
a. GBN’s members should be able to create their own start-up group and others can join or support it. It would be the best to use the organic
groups module already integrated in the site but other solutions are
also acceptable.
4. Newsletter
a. The site should have the feature to send regular newsletters to members.
5. Tests, polls
a. Using drupal modules.
