Project Overview
We would like to develop an automated radio player that you can embed into other websites like myspace. The player will allow artist to sign up, upload music, video, etc. All items will be cataloged for the community to interact with. The community will be able to vote on uploaded media, give comments, and create favorite playlists. The more votes an artist gets the more his/her songs will play when users listen to a particular genre.
Requirements
Deployment will be via Flash Media Server. The application should be able to integrate into hosted FMS providers until we have capital to host our own servers. The process should be automated allowing upload, encoding, & streaming. Our administrators should only have to monitor content for appropriateness.
We believe flash media server will be best possible deployment method. We will require hosted services so the application must be able to interface with existing FMS providers like (Influxis, Uvault, etc)
Operating Environment: Linux, Apache, PHP, Mysql (maybe cold fusion)
User Type Requirements
-General Users: Login (manage account, password, email, etc.), Vote on media, Create playlist, Output widget code to embed player on other pages
-Registered Contributing Artist: Login (manage account, password, email, etc.), Upload / Manage Media, See statistics on media (plays, votes, etc.)
-Marketers / Advertisers: Login (manage account, password, email, etc.), View campaign statistics (impressions, clicks, etc), View general statistics (most popular genres, artist, media, etc.), Upload ads (banners, text, etc.), Create campaign (choose plan, upload content, pay for campaign)
