Who is the head guy at Total Freelance? Are there any hidden fees? Total Freelance has NO HIDDEN FEES. All fee's paid to Total Freelance are optional and are for platinum accounts or featured advertising. How can I be notified about newly posted projects? If you would like to receive an email every time a project is posted in a particular category, firstly log into the site using your username and password, then access the category of your choice by clicking "View Active Projects", then click the button that says "Subscribe". You should then receive confirmation of your subscription, and every time a project is posted in that category you will be notified by email. Repeat for as many categories as you like! How do I pay the freelancer for my project? Until Total Freelance integrates many advanced payment gateways, all payment negotiations are up to you and the freelancer. Please make sure that you read our User Agreement which states that Total Freelance and its employees can NOT be held responsible for any billing issues. How much money does it cost to join Total Freelance? Total Freelance is 100% free! Although we are implementing platinum accounts (10.00/month) which will be available in v1.5 of Total Freelance. We also provide freelancers the opportunity to have receive a gold star (100.00/life) which shows that they are who they claim to be. To ensure that we will contact them with a simple phone call and a background check. What does a buyer do? Once you subscribe to Total Freelance as a buyer, you will be able to post any projects that you need created/finished/etc in the appropriate category. Freelancers will them have a certain amount of time (which you choose) to post a bid on the project. Once the date has elapsed (or you have closed the project) you will select the winning bidder. Once the winning bidder is chosen, you will both be notified via an email and a private message. From then on you and the freelancer will work together to accomplish your task. After the task has been completed, you will be asked to rate the freelancer’s (1-5 stars) and leave any comments that you deem necessary. What does a freelancer do? Once you subscribe to Total Freelance as a freelancer, you will be able to post bids on any project listed in the Total Freelance database. Once the winning bidder has been chosen, you will be notified via an email and a private message. From then on you and the buyer will work together to accomplish your task. After the project has been completed, the buyer will be asked to rate you (1-5 stars) and leave any comments that he/she deems necessary. Those comments and ratings will be viewable my all members in your profile. You will also have the option of paying a $5.00/month (per requested category) fee to be listed as a featured freelancer in your requested categories. You may also which to pay a 100.00/life fee to receive a gold star on your account. The gold star shows that a background check has been preformed on you and that you are who you claim to be. What if I have a dispute with a freelancer/buyer? To avoid disputes, you and the freelancer/buyer should create payment terms and a work schedule before the project begins and put the agreement in writing or on the private message board.
